I missed a doe Saturday. I thought it was me but when I was up in my stand yesterday and wasn't seeing any movement I decided to tinker with my bow. I realized that the Pendulum was sticking. That mede me think, on Saturday the doe came in and was right under my stand. I drew but there wasn't a shot (do to brush). As the doe moved further away and presented me a shot, I took it and missed low.
The sight is a Savage feather weight. I oiled the hinges w/ some electric razor oil which helped it a little but not much. Do you guys know how I can fix it so it will move better?
Thanks,
John

I use the same sight as you do and I agree with bow scout you need to keep that shaft lubed. And you need to loosen the set screw up, but not too much to were there is any play in the shaft moving back and forth. And if you ever have to tighten the set screw don't tighten it too much the shaft then won't allow the sight to swing like in your case and you take a chance on striping the threads.
Good luck!

I loosened the screw. Now the pin does pivot back and forth, as for it being too loose, I don't know. I loosened it to the point that it will swing back and forth freely. Will my sight still be on vertically(up & down)? I don't think theres a reason for it not to be. I just won't have the time to check it till I go out this Saturday. And I don't want to check it on a deer.

Yep, I was able to sneak out of work early and went to the range. Dead on at 20 and inch low at 30 (from the ground). I just hope what they advertise is true. They say, "sight in at 20 and you're good to almost 30 from the tree".

I do have kill permits several areas. But also, I'm hunting on a military base in Fairfax and the season began 21 September.
