I recently put a peep back on my sons bow that uses the tubing, he just was not comfortable with the one with no tubing. Now there is a fairly loud twang when he shoots and I have never heard this before on any bow I have had one of these on. Could I have the tubing to long and that is causing the sound? Any ideas for what is causing this would be greatly appreciated.

Hcurt!
I's almost think that the tubing is too short if anything ,but you can try shortening it first and if that doesn't work then I'd try it longer .I had the tubing on a few year's ago and went to the Fletcher tru peep because I didn't like the tubing ,every so often if you don't replace it ,it will break on you ,and i didn't want this to happen when a deer come's into range .Tubing is cheap and need's to be replaced a couple time's a season because it has a tendacy to dry out while not in use .

Yeah I have used the stuff off and on for years and I know it rots but last year I bought some Pine Ridge stuff that is silicone based and not supposed to rot but I still carry an extra piece in my bow vest in case of breaking or catching on something. I have quite a bit so I will probably try a longer piece first then if it still does it cut down the shorter one a little bit at a time. I just don't understand it though because I have never heard this before. The bow is a Mathews LX but that shouldn't matter I wouldn't think.

Tubing will slap! period! end of statment! I am not trying to be a smart a** but this stuff makes a lot of noise. I used it for years but now use a peep set up where my string loop turns my string and lines my string up with my nock. My son uses the tubing and it makes a big differance in our bows!
