Default Bowtech and Twister Safari

I am putting the twister safari on my bowtech allegiance and was wondering if I can use the little tab on cable slide to attach the rests cord or do I have to attach it to the cable.

Not sure about your allegiance but I spoke to Nibal at ATA and he said for my single cam Patriot to serve it into my down bus cable. Give him a call, great guy.

Ash,
Yes you absolutely can use the slide tab for the Twister Safari.....this is how I have mine set-up on my Allegiance and it works flawlessly. It also gives the cord a nice neat/ out of the way location tucked up along the cable guard rod.
Run the cord through the tab and knot off,cut and melt.......then use the tuning screw to fine tune timing.

When you mount the rest also you will probably just about need to air the windage out to the left to make centershot.......but make it it will.

Matt,
I just got my twister Safari SL and am getting some contact on the down ( cock) vane. Did you run into this? I can't believe how totally silent this thing operates on draw back!

Terry,
Especially with the Sl version don't just set the height of the launcher at full draw and forget it........you ALSO have to make sure that the arrow is centered within the cage itself at that same height. Yes it is easy to have the height set correctly but have the arrow centered high or low withing the cage causing a conflict with your fletching.

I just set one up on a friend's Allegiance the other day and to get the launcher height I wanted and keep it as close as possible to the arrow shelf without hitting the edge, to get the arrow perfectly centered within the cage I had to slant the entire bracket downward about 10 degrees.
Don't just assume that teh arrow is flying through the center because the rest of the set-up looks good.

By hand pull the slide back until the arrow lifts into position, with your other hand hold the arrow in that position and let the rest fall away........now look to see if the arrow is centered properly at rest. This is the position that is most critical and what it looks like when the fletching reaches the cage.

I am shooting a Safari on my Allegiance and can't say enough good things about it. Very easy to setup, very accurate, the quietest drop away I have heard outside the MZE and compact.

I'm with Matt/PA, tying it to the cable slide tab is a sweet setup. Its nice and neat that way. Its also very easy to setup and then play with your cord length to get timing just right.

IMO, its the best hunting rest going. TOTAL containment, and xtremely quiet.
