Default Question about carbon with chip in it.

I have a carbon and it has a little chip in it. It's only off the top layer and it is very small. Is this arrow ok? I've heard when in doubt throw it out but this is just a little chip off the top. What do you think?

You already know the answer,or you wouldent be asking
SOOOOO----if in doubt

I would trash it as well.
Keep the arrow and use it as a yardage marker.
Another handy thing to use broken arrows for also is to put a scent balm in the nock and use it while hunting, place it about 20 yards downwind.(cotton balls work great for this)

I would say throw it out.

I don't know if you turkey hunt, but any of my junk carbons get cut down and used as decoy stakes. They work great.

If you like the possibility of an arrow in your hand keep it. But if your not the daring fellow that some are, throw it out.

throw it away. Its a weak spot in the arrow, which could break there at anytime.

If that thing blows up on release and runs through your hand...........how much would you pay to get the pain to go away?? At a time like that, I'll bet you'd pay $500 bucks on the spot.

All for a $10 arrow.

Don't worry about it. Especially if it is a Gold Tip. Their carbon design is extremely sturdy. I have robinhooded arrows, and it split them of course, but it also mushed up the point on my arrow that hit the other arrow

I emailed carbon express and they said they highly recommend not shooting if it has any damage what so ever. They even said they don't recommend shooting them if there scratched but they might say that just to cover their butts and so you go buy more arrows.
