What Java Do I need to get into chat?

What Java update version do I need to log into the chat room?
Or is it broke?

I am pretty sure it's broken. We have no chat client software available.

I can still get into chat using the most updated version of Java.

Go to Java.com and get the latest download. Do delete your old version first.

Currently I amusing Java 8 update 45.

My advice is to go to your control panel - Uninstall your Java and then Download new.

Is what I do.
