Go in to ( my profile ) scroll down to the avatar section , you'll see that you have three options.
# 1 upload my picture ( will replace with existing one), # 2 click to choose avatar ( inwhich you did) and # 3 don't display avatar.
You must pick one by placing your cursor by one of those choices , once you have click on your choice , you'll seea little black dot next to the choice you made.
After all of that is done and your picture has successfully uploaded , click ok and then scroll down to the bottom of that page and click (APPLY ) , then you'll be able to see your new avatar the next time you make a post or reply.
