Default Finished my Elk Euro

I just finished my first elk euro last night. A lot more work than a deer for sure. I'm pleased with it. I did cape him out and have it in the freezer waiting to be tanned just in case I change my mind.

Looks good, but I still vote for a shoulder mount, especially if you don't have a larger one mounted.

I like the Euro mount. Unless it is a truly beautiful animal like a sable, a whitetail, or a bushbuck I think a simple Euro mount is the ticket. I love elk hunting and have shot some big bulls but have to admit that I think elk, moose, hartebeest, etc. are not really things of beauty.
