Default deer mount terrifies dog

Both Our Boys Shot Their First Buck This Year. We Had Both Shoulder mounted. We Picked Them Up Today And Hung Them On The Wall. They Look Great!!!
The Problem Is, Our Dog Is Terrified Of Them. At First It Was Funny, But After Listening To Him Bark At Them All Day, We Are concerned That He May Never Be Able To Be In The Living Room Again Without Being Afraid.
Does Anyone Have Experienc WithThis? Any Ideas How To Help Him Overcome His Fear?

Maybe you should take the mounts down and let the dog sniff them. That way he'll get used to them and stop barking. Not a dog trainer but I believe it will work.

Great idea. Unfortunately he ran and hid under the bed when the mounts came in the house and wouldn't come out for twenty minutes. When he did, we couldn't get him near them.
We did take one down after your idea and worked for about and hour, went through a bag of treats, and gave lots of gentle encouragement to get him in the same room, lol.
Today he is better. He still barks now and then and whines, but is entering the living room, granted behind the couch. he's not near as bad as the first day. I guess it's just going to take time.
