Repaired Antlers?

Default Repaired Antlers?

How do broken tines look after they have been repaired? Can you tell they were repaired or do they look like they had never been broken? Pictures would be nice!

well, after you tell someone it was repaired they can see it...but b4, 99% wont ever even know, except they found this post on the internet that you wrote

Depends entirely on the taxidermist/artist!

Like painting a wrecked car... depending on the skill of the "repairman" you may or may not be able to see it.

Remember to that you are likey to mout the critter up on the wall where it will then only be viewed from "underneath". Alot of times what looks obvious whie "in hand", usually disappears once its hung up on the wall.

Hatch is right, depends on the taxidermist doing the repair. I have seen some excellent repairs and I have seen some horrible ones. Here are pics of one I replaced and finished:

I took one last year that had a brow tine broken off...the taxidermist fixed it and no one has noticed it...cheers/bg
