Exclamation Storing a salting coyote hide...

I have a coyote hide that's being salted and it's rolled up, but where can i store it without it rotting or anything? i have it in my buddy's dad's garage, but he doesn't want it stinkin all over the place. he wants it put away. i just don't know if i can put it in a tub or trash bag while it keeps salting without it rotting.

If all of the fat has been removed, go ahead and salt it again, then let it hang and dry. Once it's dried it will last a very long time (indefinitely) without spoilage.

Put it in a trash bag and stick in a freezer. I rolled up hide shouldn't take up that much space.

do not put it back in the freezer if it has been salted it wont freeze and do not put it in a plastic bag that will help bacteria grow and hide will slip. do as timberland said if all the fat is removed and everything is turned resalt and let dry hard. salted dried hides will last a very long time
