Default small game hides

in the directions it said i was supposed to use battery acid for the tanning process but i dont have any i was wondering if i could use muratic acid

I don't know where you got those directions, but throw them away! Get a Rittels tanning kit and do it the safe and proper way.

Battery acid will work it is nothing more then just sulfuric and you can buy that from different tanning suppliers, kits do make it easy but they have many different steps involved in them also.

You could ask the person that supplied the “directions”. Oh wait, no you can’t. In case no one has told you, not everything you find on the internet is correct. For $20 you can get the supplies to tan a hide properly and safely[/b]. I doubt anyone here is dumb enough to tell you that it’s okay to use muriatic acid for tanning. We don’t even know HOW you want to use it, though it doesn’t much matter.

Don't use a acid at all, all i have to say is if you are starting to tan buy a book called Complete Book of Tanning Skins and Furs, by James E. Churchill.
