cost of grey fox mount
#1
I arrowed a huge grey fox and was wondering what price I might be looking at. I havent got my scales out butit has to be 15+lbs.Muzzy went in rightbehind the shoulder without too much damage and split its stomach pretty good on exit and barely clipped the top of its hind foot on exit. I was thinkinga sneaking type mount on a stump or something along those lines and I haven't had anytaxidermy work done before but this fox is huge and gorgeous and I am opento ideas and price estimates.

Foxes in my opinion are the hardest predator to do, yes, harder than cats. Be sure to look at examples of the work from whomever you choose and make sure you are confident they can do the job. As for price, obviously that will vary from shop to shop. I get 495.00 for a fox plus base. Congrats on a nice gray.

A 15lb Grey is HUGE....I'd probably get it mounted too!
Nice mount TT...that thing looks awesome!
I have a red mounted that I got done about 9 yrs ago....its my favorite mount.

Depending on your location in TN, you might want to look up Coles (Timberland Taxidermy) information.....I believe he is in Missouri. He does awesome work and would be worth every penny. I'm telling you now, don't go with the cheapest you find.

Thank you Zubba, thats kind of you to say. High Sierra, I'm sure there is a taxidermist a little closer to your home that could do a fine job for you. Obviously, if you strike out I'd be willing to do it, but shipping can get pricey so I don't blame guys for trying to avoid it. Again, congrats on a great fox.
