Default still a trophy?

most southern hunters consiter the fox squirrel a trophy or at least they did do they still?

I don't know much about fox squirrels, not many of them critters make it up my way. But, a trophy is what you make of it. Up here lots of people taxidermy squirrels for one reason or another. There's always something to treasure.

muscle - if you are talking the tri-colored fox squirells then yes they are very desireable trophies. I am on a mission to get one, as a matter of fact.

I went to the Sandhills game lands of North Carolina in December and shot a black and white one. I had it mounted. They are a big deal in North Carolina. There are several color phases and the limit is one a day and not very many for the season.
