Default treating cob of corn

I asked about this a few months ago but forgot what percent to use. I want to preserve a whole cob of corn so it can be mounted in the mouth of my deer. I got a few responses saying to use denatured alcohol and 20 mule team borax. What is the process in using these item. Soak the cob in the alcohol first and use the borax for drying or what? I have these items in hand nowbut need advise in using them. Soak for how long and so forth. Any help from the experts is appreciated.
