Default Velvet Roadkill, Taxidermist opinions?

Here's a roadkill a buddy of mine picked up several years ago and had mounted. He brought it up, we hung it and took pictures. I had it in the bowhunting forum and from what I understand it's an outstanding mount for a summer coat whitetail...I understand it's difficult. I think it's outstanding.

That's one beautiful mount....all that muscle detail just stands out and the short hair shows it.........The ears look crisp and perfect and the eyes look awesome. Nice mount!

I really like that mount. The muscle detail is great with that short hair, but I really like the hanging velvet! That gives it a very natural look.

Yep That is a nice mount, I love to do southern deers for that reason, 3 days ago I did one IOWA deer and boy I found it so ugly all that hair and you can't show no muscles or veins at all.

Some people do like all that hair, but I don't

Wheel, yes and yes, he contacted a PGC friend in his hometown because the taxidermist wouldn't have accepted it either because of legalities....

Excellent mount. I have a recently killed doe with a nice summer cape that I am doing now. I shot her under deer crop damage permit first week of July.
