I agree. Man, I cringe when people say "I want it with it's head up high" or "looking straight". Full upright on a deer, who came up with that?! I think that is the most non natural look. But I guess, money talks. I don't do novelties, there just isn't enough money. I also don't do squirrels eating nuts. Yea, it's natural but to me it just doesn't look right. I bet I've seen 30 done and not one have I ever liked. Really like your work though, I just don't like to comment others work.

Taxidermist are ego driven most of the time and can't stand someones work above theirs. Not all but some, so they feel the need to bash. I just went through one a few weeks ago on taxinet. That was until I told them I'd put my work against theirs, you know "put up or shut up". I am fairly new as far as experience but I have been working with a couple of great taxidermists. Do you compete? Are you a member of your state association? The NTA? Speaking of, how bout the taxinet fiasco?

I used to compete and I have a wall full of ribbons, but the gas and electric co. will not except them for payment so Ive stoped playing and just work. I am a member of the NTA and GST.Taxidermy.net is all about the NTA crap that is going on. It will go away as it always does, I have been a member since the begining. Keep mounting.
