RE: How to Mount a Whitetail Deer!
Heck, Alex, I had to reduce mine cause someone ordered a catalog and figured out how much a form costsAnd don't get me started on the kits!!! If I go any lower on my prices, I'll have to pay people to mount their deer.

RE: How to Mount a Whitetail Deer!
Naaaa, I don't think anyone is going to go out of buisness because of my post. I didn't go into to much detail. I didn't tell them how to:
1.Fix an ear that is split all the way down the side.
2.How to remove ear cartlige.
3. How to install earlinners, or use the bondo method to shape ears.
4. How to repair bullet holes in the forehead.
5. How to shave a form down that is to big.
6. How to shorten the eye to nose, or lengthen it.
7.What kinda thread to use to sew up holes.
8.Which tannery to use.
9.Show them how to turn the ears with out busting them.
10. How to split the eye skin
11. How to remove the cartlige out of the nose,
12. How to split the lips.
13. They still have to learn the location of the wisker roots so they don't cut threw them.
14. I didn't tell them any of the chemicalsI use.
15 I didn't show them any of the apoxie work.
16. I didn't show them all the paints they were going to need.
17. I didn't show them how to mix the paints to get the proper color for the ears, eye's, lip line, nose, etc.
18. Didn't tell them anything about all the different types of hair paterns that need to be linned up just so for the deer to have a natural look.
19. I didn't tell them how to groom the deer.
20. Didn't tell them how to get muscle detail to show up.
21. Didn't tell them how to keep the muscle detail from pulling out while theskin dries to the form.
22. Didn't tell them about the different types of hide paste.
23. Didn't tell them about the difernt types of ear liner adhesives.
24.Didn't tell them about bug proofing the skull plate.
25. Didn;t tell them how many hours we spend on "ONE" deer head,
26. Didn't tell them how much we spend on the material for "ONE" deer head.
27. Didn't tell them the profit wemakeoff"ONE" deer head.
28. I didn't tell them anythingabout tumbling capes.
29. Didn'tmentionthe different methods to streach thecape in order for them to get it on the form.
30. I forgot to mention how many hours we spend in the shop everyday.
31. Forgot to mention how many weekends we work a year.
32. Forgot to mention I have a blacktail cape in the freezer for the past 3 years for a deer I shot that I havn't had time to mount for myself because I am to busy mounting customer trophies.
I got about a 100 other things I can add to this but I don't want to type that much, LMAO
