No, both of those deer were taken in Rhinebeck Ny where I grew up and still hunt.

Can you guys please explain how you remove all of the cartilage in the nose and the brains out? Also how do you degrease? thanks

Those european mounts look great thanks
the cartilage i remove with pliars and surgical forceps, the brain i let cook for a while and then i have a stainless wire with a hook on the end that iyse to pull the brain out. a garden hose will get the remainder out. i add a little dishwashing soap while cooking to degrease.

jcchart, either way great bucks! I am still working on my euro mount for this year, it was a small 5 pt and I wanted to try it just so when I get a bigger one I know what to do... By the way xtreme thats a great buck too!

I dont have pics, but my taxidermist slices the skull down the center with a saw zaw eliminating the jaw all together , makes it lay flat, looks cool.
