Hey i finally got my deer mount back from the taxidermist. It took him 8 months, here are the pictures of it hanging in my room. This is my first animal i have ever had mounted and i would like it if you guys could tell me if it looks good. The first picture is the deer in the field and the last 3 are mounted.

Great Buck! He's a beauty.... What state did you take him in?

The mount looks good. The pics are kindof far off, so I can't make out alot of detail, but it looks pretty darn good in the pics. Got any close ups of the mount?

Thanks guys, like i said this is the first animal that i have ever had mounted and i just dont know how to judge if the guy did a good job or not.I thought that he did an awesome job.

Looks awsome to me friend, i see momma made you hang it in your room. That deer has to score close to 150 nice!

Yeah she made me hang it in my room, she hates it. It looks to real for her. The P&Y score was 152" and the gross was 158"

Heres my 2002 buck. 8 points dressed out at 183#.

Thanks, I'm from Iowa, and that is were i got him. Mike Meyer From Goose Lake Iowa did the work for me. He does a great job on any animal, but he is really only taking in deer heads now, so many people take there heads to him he is booked up and really doesn't have time for small game.

I thought the same thing but the body on the deer was so big, so that is how it fit. We tried it on a bigger board and it just didn't look right.
