Try navhda.org. This is the web-site for the North American Versitile Hunting Dog Association. You can probably find a German Shorthair which will do what you want. I would avoid the dogs bred for horseback trials because the blood trailing will be difficult to teach. If you google search JGV-USA you can find a dog which has parents tested in all types of hunting.

Try www.nadkc.org. They are the german registered shorthairs. They are bred for the foot hunter.

Has pups on the ground now... not sure if there is any available tho?
These are field trial dogs but make good hunting dogs as well.
Tell Scott, Art sent you!
Good luck...

Hi I saw your post and wanted to let you know that we will have puppies on the ground around the 24th of May. We raise and train German Shorthair Pointers, with the foot hunter in mind. We also do AKC hunt tests. We can provide references upon request. The female is handled by our 13 year old daughter in the junior hunt tests, and has been guided with on shooting preserves. The sire is NFC GK's Rise n Shine We can be reached by phone at 660-799-2233 or by email at [email protected]. Thanks, Steve Farrell
