I am not at my home or will be for a few days. So the books are at home. What excally is Force Fetching. One of the reasons i held off on it b/c he wasnt ever excited about retrieving and i didnt want to force him to do anything that might hurt him in the future. I will now though.

Well he surprised me today. Well i made him sleep outside last night and this afternoon when i took him out he ran around a while sniffing then jumped in to my jeep and got the dummy out of the car and brought it to me. I almost wanted to cry....lol .... then i probably threw it 20 times and quit while i was ahead. he would bring it back every time. To my hand. I just keeped running away from him if he didnt bring it to my hand. man he made me proud today. Just thought i would share.

Congrats! Doc E will still probably tell you to FF him. But you seem to have done well today. My dogs stay outside in kennels all the time unless I'm out of town. Then the wife brings my oldest Chessie inside to gaurd her and my son. My son makes her[the dog] a pallet next to his bed and she won't leave his side.

My theroy was that if i pay less attention to him when i am home, and then when i want to train he will want to please more. Which i think i proving true. The dog used to be in side from 2 in the afternoon till 7 in the morning and got all the attention he wanted. Now i am trying to make him realize he is a dog. Lol
