I too have a pointing lab. His name is Casey. He is awesome on various upland birds that we hunt here. Pheasants, quail, grouse, huns and chukars -- doves too.

He is tremendous for ducks and geese too.

I have a pointing lab and I don't think I would do anything else. She is awesome on all upland game and works like a normal lab on waterfowl.

French Brittany. Locks up like a statue on birds, bees, flies, grasshoppers, the bit of trash that looks like a bird, etc...

ive had labs before but i got my first pointing dog and he is awesome.Hes only 7 months old but he has more drive than any other dog ive hunted with.
he is a drathaar the best hunting dog on the planet.the only thing a lab has on him is they swim a little faster.you will find and retreive much more game with a drathaar wounded of dead
