Put deposit on pup today!! A Vizsla!
I just wanted to share my joy with everyone. I spent the last six years in the military dreaming about the day when I could move closer to home and get back to hunting. I have only hunted over a dog once since 1998 my dad's brittany and I am now looking forward to training my own vizsla and getting back in the swing of things. I hope all of you out there are looking forward to hunting season as I am. I will get my vizsla in july and can't wait. If any body in illinois knows of any applicable clubs or events down here on the southern end of the state.(Marion) I would really like the info.
Thanks ya all

Congrats on the new V. Mine is 4.5 years now and is a heck of a hunter. Take a look at this link for some training help in Illinois.
Good Luck!!

You're gonna love this breed, I've been onwing them since 1979, I've had four now through the years.
My current girl has just been bred and should be delivering pups in late July or early August.
Is your dog from a local breeder or is it being shipped in from somewhere?
You should be able to find info regarding vizsla clubs on the net, I've found a lot of information from it.
I wish you the best with your new hunting/family companion. They really love to be with the family and you, will become protective and absolutely loving dogs. Great hunters to boot!
