Question What to feed my new lab

I have a 12 week old lab pup and I am wondering if anyone has suggestions as to what food is best for her? Are the expensive brands like blue or diamond etc. worth the money? And should i stick with the same brand as an adult? Any info. Is much appreciated thank you all. D

Purina Puppy Chow until your pup is a yr, old....
Make sure you have all the vaccinations and have your pup dewormed.

Feed a quality Large Breed puppy food until the dog is 12 to 14 months old.
Then go to a quality Performance food.

My dog is getting long in years so I've switched foods for her. Blue Buffalo and human grade chicken. Treats are non-Chinese chicken jerky.

Tried the neighbors cat but the cat didn't go down well.

My DD started on Iams puppy and went right up the line to the large breed as an adult. He'll be 9 in October and about a year ago I started mixing close to a 50-50 mix of the food they have for older dogs with the large breed. As he gets older I plan on decreasing the large breed until he's strictly on the old stuff. Right now he still has the look and pep of a 5 year old dog.

Just remember that different dogs do better or worse on different foods.
Just because my dogs do best on Eagle Pack doesn't mean that yours will.

Because our dogs are 'extreme' athletes, I believe that regardless of what food you end up feeding, that supplementation (Omega-3's and Glucosamine) is definitely needed.

I would recommend Blue Buffalo Wilderness.

I fed my pups Purina puppy chow for the first 12 months and then started whinning them off of it with Proplan....just pay attention to the protein intake....less protein in the summer and more during the colder months...

Give natural foods to her Blue Buffalo, Natural Balance, Natural Choice, Organix and Pedigree are the best. Have fun with your dog.

I feed Iams. Also I feed Eukanuba and Pedigree. They are very easy to find foods and have good results.
