I understand this isn' t a hunting dog . . . . but please help me.
My friend is moving to Orlando and cannot bring his dog with him. The dog is a 1 1/2 - 2 year old Rottweiler. I know what your thinking . . . rots are mean . . well not this one . . this is, no kidding, the sweetest dog i' ve ever been around . . . and I' ve been around labs all my life.
He was trying to find a home for her, but was having some troubles (because she was a rot). His parents said they would take her as a last resort, but they backed out at the last minute. He has tried calling the local no-kill shelters and the Rottweiler Rescue centers but they all claim to be full . . . no one will take her.
He is moving Saturday morning and has asked me to take her to the pound tomorrow morning because he doesnt think he can do it himself. Im not sure why he thinks I can do it, Im the biggest dog fan there is . . my black lab goes everywhere I go . . . she' s a part of my family.
ANYWAY . . if you are or have ever been interested in a Rottweiler . . . PLEASE give me a call as soon as you read this . . . I have to go pick her up at 8:30 tomorrow morning and take her to the pound . . . . and I know she won' t last long there . . . its tough for a Rott to get adopted.
So if you read this . . and your MILDLY interested . . . please call me . . . anytime between now and 9 tomorrow morning (972-816-1066) . . . if I dont answer . . PLEASE leave a message . . . Ill deliver her if neccessary. I have to take her in tomorrow around 9 . . . please dont let this good dog be put to sleep.

No! Don' t bring her to the pound. Not unless she is already spayed. Rotts are not allways mean dogs. It all depends on how they were raised. Should be pretty easy to give away or even sell if she' s not spayed. But you don' t want to give purebreed dogs to the pound. Especially if there' s nothing wrong with them. They can still make good breeding dogs.
If she is spayed, then go ahead. Hope she finds a good home.
