Doc, do you think the EIC test is worth it? My lab is a 18 months old and I know the problem can stay dormant until atleast 3 years. I have my daughter asking our Vet if they can do the procedure to get the test done. Just would like your opinion. I know what the opinion is on the APLA web site, as I just joined.
Note: Max has already had his Hips, Knees, and eyes done and we are good to go in that area.

Go to retrievertraining.net and do a search on EIC, you will find plenty of good information and sound advice from some of the countries top breeders and trainers of labrador retrievers. CNM is also something to test for if breeding is in your dogs future.
Good luck
P.S. Your dog's hips and elbows cannot be certifieduntil they turn two years of age. OFA requirements.

Yes I just saw the 24 month thing. I was wondering were my cert was from the OFA, but I have no problem having the test done again in June when he is 24 months, funny thing was, I actually viewed his results in August on the OFA web site. they must have caught the mistake.
I asked the question on EIC testing on purpose. I already read the info on the test form the folks who do the test, and yes My Lab is getting the test done Wednesday, I also educated my vet so they now know what to look for and try not to miss diagnose.
I asked this specific question on this web site for a reason, (and sorry Doc), sinceI new doc was on here also I asked him, hoping to get others on here to research and test there animals maybe. I had just joined the American Pointing Lab Assoc and that is were I learned about EIC.
