I took my Golden retriever out hunting for the first time the other day. I wasnt really going for much just seeing if she would flush out any rabbits. Now she would stay in front of me in open fields and work the tall grass, but I couldnt get her to work the timber unless I went in there with her. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

Yeah get a pack of beagles!

I don't know the Golden's history but I have only seen them used for retrieving in my area.
I have however been rabbit hunting with beagles,waaaahoooo!
