Our Season Is Over - How Was Yours?
General bird seasons ended yesterday (27th) here in the PacNW.
We got fewer waterfowl than usual, but more upland than usual.
Our total take for the year (Upland + Waterfowl) was one less bird than last season.
How was yours?
Sunday the 27th was the last day for Waterfowl Season here in WA.
That morning, we took 6 Greenies (wife 3 --- me 3). Early in the afternoon, I got two more drakes.
For the last 2 hours of the season, we just sat in the blinds and watched the birds, without firing a shot. We figured that if they made it to within 2 hours of closure, that they deserved to live and make some babies.

Season was pretty typical, had substantially more wood ducks in flooded timber than last year. Numbers are on the rise! I only lost one duck this season. Did less shooting but more killing. Overall a successful season.

I only got to go out twice and ended up with three wood duck and a Honker, I also did a Pheasant hunt and came home with 7, and I will have to say Max has trained well for 7 months. Let me see if I can get a pic posted.
Bummer, I cannot get the pics small enough. Oh well.

If I would of answered that questiontwo weeks ago I would of said it's the worst year I've ever had.But the last week ofGoose hunting was HOT.Which made up for some lost ground.

Awesome pix! We did all right here in the Old Dominion. Didn't get the boat out as often as I would have liked, but still did well. We shot about 3 dozen geese and 2 dozen ducks, mallards, woodies, buffleheads, bluebill, merganser, and 2 that I'm not sure what kind they are
