I use BayerTree & Shrub around the kennels and hartz flea & tick killer and repellent. The fleas haven't been that bad this year, but the ticks have. 5 ml of the Bayertree and shrubdown the back of the dogswill kill fleas and ticks better just as good as the expensive vet stuff. Concrete floor kennels are the best fleas control IMO.

K9 Advantix is the same company that makes Bayer... Never heard a bad thing about Advantix though.

Revolution! Flea, tick, heartworm, ear mites, etc. Protects against all of them, and you squeeze it onto the neck. Try www.petmeds.com for it cheaper than the vet.

I use a topical alcohol based pyrethrin product called pre-cor. Not all that long lasting but I am constantly checking my dogs for both for fleas or ticks.
I do not prefer to feed my dog any pill that makes the dog's skin systemic. Yes there is soem data out there on certain insecticides used that hae caused some problems. JW |

I use BIO-Spot... half the price of the stuff at the vet and its availible at tractor supply stores.
