If your dog is like mine, she'll 'outlive' bark collars. She was wonderful with one on, but the momment I took them off, she barked at everything, falling leaves, the wind, etc. I spent a total of $80 on one, sportsdog and $50 on another, innotek. Both were total junk.
The sportsdog had an extra prong that touched the vocal chords so outside noise wouldn't set it off. My dog used this as she'd scratch the collar until it went off kilter which allowed her to bark again. It would have been fine, but the battery is built in to the unit, so it's a one-time deal or send it in to sportsdog to get the battery replaced.
The innotek has a replaceable battery but when the battery was low, it gave her one nasty shock then quit. I don't use that one anymore.
Now, I just use the standard ol' shock collar.
