Hello everyone well today (7/22/06) I laid my 1st blood trail and let it set for about 2 or 3 hours and took my bloodhound "copper" out and he followed it perfect he never came off coarse and he didn't lift his head until he was done... Then I took him in the woods just to sniff around and then I took him to a huge spot of dried blood from where the coyotes or cougars killed and deer or something... Ihad found this blood about a month earlier...Well I put him in the middle ofthe dired bloodandhe sniffed it for about a minute and he was off on the trail... 15 minutes later we found a deer leg... I was so excited... I know for a fact that blood and deer have been there for over a month... So i am very proud of my dog this is his 1st time to be on the trail.. Bloodhound must truly have a great nose.. Well sorry to ramble on I am just excited.. P.S. I took pictures but they were on a disposible camera so it wil be awhile before i can post them but i will...

Congrats Chris, Sounds like you have a natural there. Keep working him andsharpening his abilities. Keep us posted about his progress.
