Default How's this for gunfire association.

I have a 15 month old pup. She has been introducted to gunfire last year but since it's been awhile I've been thinking this season to slowly get her useto it again. The other day, some kids left a balloon near our door and my dog has never seen one before. She pawed at a couple times and *pop*. It surprised her and she jumped back. Then she went wild, constantly looking up and sniffing the area looking for a bird. I guess I won't need to re-introduce the gun again.

on the 4th my pup was freaking out at all the fireworks, he was scared, but then i said to him "they are shooting birds" and he perked up and was fine after that. i dont know how he knew what i was talking about, he does know what "bird" is. after that point he wanted to go see what was going on

Actually my Springer is afraid of loud noises and always has been. Kinda like us when someone lets off a firecracker and we don't expect it.

He hates loud noises but when he's in the field hunting or training a scent trail, I could fire a cannon near him and he would be OK.

Shoot a 12 ga over him while hunting, no problem....Bang on the kitchen table loud, he's off to the living room.
