Default Yeller Dog Locked Up

Here's a pic of Tank locked up on point while doing a "sit to flush" during training today

yeah ma is right, and a dang good lookin dog Wayne. i love the paw up also.
sidenote question since i dont know much about pointing labs, do they ever hold the tail up high, or is it down low or wherever it wants?

since i dont know much about pointing labs, do they ever hold the tail up high, or is it down low or wherever it wants?
If you go to pointinglabs.com then click on the "Gallery" you'll see their tail's in all different position's

Because Lab tails are designed for swimming, they very seldom have a 12 o'clock tail. When PLs first start pointing (young dogs)their tails are generally lower -- as they become more adept at the pointing game, they raise up some. PLs tails are usually between 9 o'clock and 10 o'clock -- much less frequent at 11 o'clock or 12 o'clock.

Labs are flushers not pointers!!!!!



My lab goes into a half assed trance when it locks onto a pheasant in the high grass until I tell him to "get him". I didnt train him to do that. He just did that instinctively
