Got a new lease. . .yahoo
Lost a great place to hunt at the end of the past season. . .my friend got a great offer on his 288 acres. After I got done feeling sorry for myself I got to searching.
I found a 2000 acre place year round 10 guns. All the past leases had been revocked (sp?) and a new group is coming in this year. No clicks to bust or hens to listen to. The manager seems to be a great family guy and based on our first few meetings. I think I have a new home away from home. Me and 2 buddies are gonna start moving in our gear in the next few weeks. Turkey season is coming.
Now I only hope that I get the peice of dirt that I picked, and it looks like I get my preferredsection too.

Larry. . .This ranch is out a bit west in Menard co. The south west corner of hill country, but still close enough 150 miles door to door.
I think it was a fair price based on what I have seen and heard. Right around 2K for a year round. Looks like some bigger bodied Hill country Deer, a few Black bucks, piles of Turkey. Very light hunting presure that last 2 seasons and pretty light on the ajoining ranches as well.
I am ready to get camp set up, place feeders and get my stands in.
