Evans, GA, east of Augusta. I hunt at the Brier Creek Sportsman Club in Northwest Burke County. We have a tract over near Waynesboro too and some land in Jefferson and Richmond County as well.

Maybe we should try to plan a get together, I didnt know there was this many Ga. members.

Shorthair, you are all around me. I live just off Hwy 24, back behind Morris village. My dad just bought the old Bevens Kennels place on the corner of Hwy. 24, Thompsons Bridge/Idelwood crossing. Has a white board fence along the highway.

We have several small places that we hunt, and our hunting club in Screeven County on Ogeechee Creek off Hwy 21 has almost a thousand acres(with only 12 people). One 130 acre place we are leasing for the first time this year, borders DiLane Plantation WMA. We leased another place right by it a couple of years ago, its a good area, the woods are really hot during those quota hunts. Deer running every where!

Hey Mike, I bird hunt in Screven county as well. My friend has a few hundred acres off Roberts Bridge Road. They plant a field for dove every year and they have at least two coveys of quail hanging around some where on the place.

Keep us posted on the get together. I've been hanging out at another forum where they speak our langauge (Southern) but I still come here too.

Hey Mike I used to hunt on that land back behind your work place as well. For about 5 years my friend Jimmy Wilkerson ( Remember Wilkerson's Cafe on Broad Street?) Let me hunt thier 180 acres back behind MGW. Then his mom sold off over 100 acres and that stopped all that. I killed my biggest deer back there. It was a 22" wide eight point that weighed 190lbs gutted.

I thought about that as we passed by on our way to the nuclear paradise we call Plant Vogtle tonight.
