I saw where you were hunting White Oak Lake, I'm going down to Poison Springs WMA this weekend. I went down there opening weekend of bow season and saw a few rubs, no scrapes. I was just wondering if you had been down that way lately and how the rut is going down there.

I was down on sunday and found alot of sign that wasn't there two weeks ago. i usually am there every weekend but i had some other things to do.
scrapes were everywhere! i think it will be pretty good but you never know . there are so many clubs and gov't land in the area and the woods get to busy for deer to move. they lay up in the many timber cutter produced thickets or just move in the cover.
where are you planning to hunt in the area?
are you camping in the area?
and uhhhh why the swinetime name?

Just a lack of creativity (Swinetime) I'm a big Razorback fan, I'm skipping the game this weekend vs. Ole Miss to go hunting.
This is my first year hunting down there, I usually hunt near the house (Little Rock). My buddies family (Lands family) has hunted the area for years. They reserved the camp sites every year. I really can't tell you the hwy #'s but we come through Prescott pass the race track, take a left at the stop sign by the store heading toward Bluff City, pass the lonely liquor store over the bridge and the next left. White Oak Lake is right across the street.
I'm going up Friday to scout and set up my stand, I have a couple places in mind but just want to make sure no one has set up there yet. I hunted a creek last time, but I would rather hunt the planted field with a gun, my buddy likes to hunt the bottoms. Being the new guy down there I'll just have to take what I can get. But from what I seen last time there are enough deer for everyone.
Where are you hunting at?

Yeah it's hwy 24, I just looked it up. My parents/grandparents are originally from Camden but I was born and raised in LR. I'm seeing lots of sign by my house, and I was just wondering how it was looking down there. Glad to hear you are seeing lots of sign. Good luck this weekend. If you get a big one post it on here, I'll do the same.
