Deer arn't even into the soybeans much now because of the acorns.

I agree there are a ton of acorns this year. I have two trees in my yard and they are already covering the driveway as well as the dog pin. Should be a prime spot if you have an acorn ridge to hunt here in this part of NC. Fortunately i do!

Went ahead and moved some stands 50ft or so to oversee the trees this year. Deer leaving corn pile's alone and eating the acorns right now.

We have a huge amount of acorns on the ground down here too. Strange thing is, I haven't found alot of caps from where they have been eaten yet. I ma wondering if all this bad weather (hurricanes) have blown them out of the oaks before they were actually ready to drop. Is anybody seeing signs of acorns being eaten?

I hunted a great hardwood flat last weekend and saw several deer both morning and evening but all seemed to ignore the mass of acorns on the ground.

I have found some spots where deer have been feeding on green acorns blown out from the hurricanes and storms. But then there are spots where there are acorns everywhere and no feeding sign.
