.i know the hog i shot and lost was every bit 200lbs and it was great when i was tracking him because his tracks looked like calf prints, then the water came and i lost him.....turns outt he cypress head that he ran in to was only about an acre, but it was deep water when i was tracking, now it's dry there......

Only someone that hasn't really been hog hunting wouldnt believe that.
The biggest that has been taken off our beloved wilderness was 475lbs! oh and he cut two dogs before he was taken.
I don't know if it was him but i had seen a group of hogs about a week before this one was taken. one was as big as my kawasaki 300 4x4. i'll put it this way i had a momentary shot at him and passed with a a 50 cal muzzleloader. i've killed a few with smokepoles but i passed in a second.
Do you have hog dogs? if not don't use just any old dog if you like them. my friends catch dogs always wear kevlar vests the bay dogs are usually smart enough to stay out of a bayed hogs reach.

Man! It would be nice to see it! You say you are going down this Friday? It would be nice to go on that hunt, but $$$ is a little tight right now as I paid for college the other week, but I should be up and running soon [:'(]
