Default Georgia bound

I'll be relocating in mid-March to the Kennesaw area (Northwest Cobb County). I'm an avid bowhunter, rifle, and blackpowder shooter. Anybody on here from that area or familiar with it? This area looks like it might hold a few deer (maybe too close in to the city). I'll be looking to tap into any info regarding hunting and fishing in this general NW Georgia area (and any other GA areas). Thanks in advance for any replies!

I live in Fayette County, just south of Atlanta. I can't comment on personal experience of hunting NW Georgia, but I do personally hunt West Central GA. Great hunting in Heard, Coweta and Carrol County. I shoot a lot of does in Fayette County too. Occasional nice bucks in Fayette.

Oh, and I meant to say to go to a Wal Mart or other store that carries Georgia Outdoor News magazine. They are a great help in finding all the information you need about hunting. Also check www.deerleases.com and take a look. I found a good club to join there last year.

Lots of good hunting here is South Georgia. You can hunt here on Ft Stewart. You can go to www.stewart.army.mil and get more info. I love hunting down here. Its a shame the Army is going to move me from a great hunting spot once again!

I'm from Greene county I just go to school in Milledgeville. We have some pretty descent bucks in Greene and the surrounding area. A good bit of public land around too if that interests you.
