Has anyone been bunny hunting yet. I've been a few times and have been really dissapointed. I reckon the storm we had messed everything up. I do know that every rabbit, that my beagles have gotten up has run under brush and the dogs can't get in there to flush back out. I guess I need to invest in a slower pack. If anyone has any pointers for flushing rabbits out of trees over trees please let me know.

Most of the bunny hunting I've done has been with 13" beagles and they can flush the rabbit out of about anything but a hole.
I'd like to try a few bunnies on my deer lease, but there is just no cover for them, all woods. Plus there are to many bobcats to have a good population of bunnies.
What county are you hunting?

I have 13" beagles as well. I'm in chowan county. I don't know if any of yall have seen pictures of what Isabel did to us, but it some places trees are on top of trees, so it's really hard for the dogs to even get in there. One or two can get in the tree pile but not the whole pack. I guess just going to have to wait until all of it dies down. On the up side went today in a fresh cut down where the trees won't so badly torn up. We managed to kill 17. Best day had all season.
