The deer sightings on our 5000+ acre hunting club has been down considerbly this season. I personally normally see between 50 and 75 deer per season out of the stand and this season i have seen less han half that amount of deer. The weather has been warm to hot for most of the season. Has anyone else noticed this trend? If so, what are your thoughts on why it has been like this?

Gobbler,
Same here. I hunt in the upstate and heve seen less deer this season than in the last 3 or 4 years. For one thing the acorn crop was poor this year making it hard to locate deer on public land
. I hope with the rain we had this summer next season will bw a bumper crop. Also the unseasonably warm temps this season are keeping the deer nocturnal...any thoughts?

Seem to be less deer in the low country as well. Think the temps have something to do with it. Wait a couple of weeks and they will show. Planning on hunting Dec 11. Good luck to all. Gary
