Go for it, Darrell! [8D]
I applaud you for getting it off the ground and hope it goes through. {regarding my post about that big buck I spooked in Cumberland State Forest this past Sunday afternoon, while scouting...}
Now, imagine if we could hunt on Sundays.... I would have been able to go after that monster buck! But, NOOOOOOOOOO, we can' t hunt Sundays! [:@][:' (]

The signatures are definately adding up! Please check the website often, and forward it to your hunting buddies. If we all work together we can make this happen!!

Duckgrowers,
Why do you think allowing people the option of hunting on Sundays is a mistake? You can fish, hike and go to state parks. For the Monday through Friday working man, allowing hunters the option of hunting on Sunday would be a big plus. I' m just curious what your reasons are?

I wish I knew some people to send the website link to. You should try to get the link up on some county websites around the state. I will try to see if I can get it around my county and surrounding areas. I want this to work

[8D]That, folks, is the statement of the day.... That needs to be enlarged and bold printed for all to see!

HEy you guys I work Monday through sunday I work 80 hours a week. Sunday Is a day of rest. Call it religous or whatever. I like to see the deer take a rest too. Let them calm down a day. On Sunday I don' t want to hear guns all the time. I like my sundays quiet and peaceful. I love to hunt also. Not on Sundays!!! I understand your concern of not being able to hunt. I am in the same boat. I only get to go hunting when the sun is almost all the way down. I have killed a 6 pointer so far. I find time to hunt. Vacation time or whatever. I just don' t believe in hunting on sundays.

Sunday hunting is an idea that is well overdue. Let' s be honest. The sanctity of this day vanished a long time ago. Nearly every activity formerly prohibited on Sunday by the " blue laws" (that' s what they were called them where I used to live) is now permitted EXCEPT hunting. You can work, shop, buy alcohol, and do just about anything you want on Sunday that you could do any other day of the week. And except for retail and restaurant employees, most hunters have more Sundays off than any other day of the week. I strongly resent not having the right to hunt on Sunday. Would I tell someone they can' t play golf, bowl, play tennis, go the movies, bars, stores etc. just because it' s " Sunday" . Why does the law make an exception of MY favorite form of recreation. Due to the nature of the sport, most non-hunters wouldn' t even be aware that people are hunting on Sunday. I mean it' s not like hunters go to shopping malls looking for game. If you wish to reserve this entire day for religeous worship, family activities, and quiet contemplation, I wholeheartedly endorse your decision. But this is America, not Iran. No one should be COMPELLED to worship at specific, designated days and times to the exclusion of all else. Just my .02.
