Default Lake george wma turkey quota hunt

Is there anyone out there that has hunted this hunt? I drew the first weekend and cant find any info on the area. New bio over the area knows less about it than I do. Im really curious about access and bird numbers. I hunted private near the area and I heard birds on the area so I know they r there. If anyone has hunted this area any info would be greatly appreciated.

A state would help. There are lake George's in Oklahoma, Florida, Mississippi, and probably more.

You can't expect people in a forum subsection that covers 13 states to know what exact spot you mean. You have to provide details.

So, you need info on the lake George wma turkey hunt in Florida.

Now somebody may be able to help you.

As far as lake George in Oklahoma. There is one. I've been there. It's a few miles out side of Fort Sill.

Not much of a lake.

There is not a ton of info available online, at least not from a quick Google search.

Your thread from your draw last year was one of the top results if that tells you anything.

There are some other forum threads available that you could read through as well.

It's too bad the local biologist doesn't have more information to help you out. They are usually a good starting point

I hope to draw a Wichita mountains elk tag someday! Maybe see lake George then. I drew the last hunt last year and the then biologist told me that the first hunt was a lot better so I turned that tag in a got a point. Was able to draw the early hunt this year but that bio left and there is a new one that is unfamiliar with the area. Thanks for ur response

I've done some hiking and mountain biking in that area.

Seen the elk as well as the longhorns. It's a nice area.

I didn't realize they had an elk hunt, but that would be a nice tag to draw.

Good luck on your turkey hunt and make sure to let us know how it goes

If it interests you there was a good thread on that elk hunt back in 07. Several guys participated and took a couple elk.
