Default Baptist Association You got to read

I live on Lake Texoma in Cartwright Oklahoma.Moved here to be able to watch the wildlife in my back yard and payed high $$$ to do so.Well the Bryan Baptist Ass. Is now leaseing the corps.property next to us.Which they had a town meeting after the fact of already sighning all the paperwork but put on a good show about veryone was invited to come to the lake and be apart of them.I can live with that but know they have pushed it to far with putting up a 6 ft game fence []Thats right a game fence[:@]Needless to say my deer no longer are able to come to my feeders for my kids to watch. This is really stupid because they left no offsets in the fence for anything to get through .Earlier today I saw a yearling raming into the fence trying to get to its mother but could not,How they got seperated I don' t know but it ran into the fence until I shuwed it away for fear of it killing itself.I would like to take my truck and pull up every fence post[>:] but know better.I have tried to contact the corps.of eng. but get no response from them either.[X(] I' m running out of options what would you do.They pretty much put it to us is that is our land now and we will do as we please.[:@].If you know of any laws regaurding fencing lease propertys let me know I need all the help I can get.

Wash my mouth out, but this sounds like a job for the tree huggers. Some of the least radical might be the Izak Walton League (www.iwla.org, actually a hunter and sportsmen based org) and the nature conservancy. Nature conservancy partners with iwla often. don' t like hunting much, but can live with it.

Find some hunters in the church and talk to them. Might work.

Don' t know Corps policy. But TVA here charges dearly if you cut a tree on their land. Did they have proper permits. Make sure your property is in order beforehand. Had a friend that complained about a group with connections. Had a visit in a few days informing him of the fact that HE was being fined for all those little metal signs that he had removed from his property line. There had been none, but he paid for them.

Why did they lease the property? What is their intended use? How large is the property?

NCLEATHERSTOCKING they have leased all the corps land in this area approx.100 acres all around.Around here there is' nt much lake accesable to the public anymore because the corps cutbacks and so on.So they lock the gates and the only way to gain access is walk to the lake. And if you don' t live close thats almost impossible because people would be parking in resident driveways because there is no place to park. The reson they claim to have leased this property,Which they got all of it for $25.00 a year. heck I would have given that, was they wanted to clean it up and make it for church and local availability. But now they have been bulldozing trees left and right to prepare to move in trailor houses for the church people to stay in.This is legal area to hunt in and I had a biologic field planted in this area.A lot of good it will do me now.One of the trailors was put about 25 yards from my feild.Im just descusted with it.Don' t get me wrong Me and my family go to church and have been trying to go at it from that angle to.But are just looked at like town trouble markers over this cituation. But I am not going to let up.They can either do somthing,Put up with my constant griping or buy my house.
Thanks for showing intrest because know one around here seems too.

I sorta like Trophyhuntr' s idea... you know how it is when you REALLY have not run a chainsaw much and are trying to do some trimming aroudn yoru place[>:] just a thought though. I am not sure if I would actually do it because of the possibility of them taking legal actions.. but you can always hope for a good strong wind I could have sent hurrican Isabel up there if I woudl have known you needed some help with that. SHe sure took care of alot of trees around here
