New Indoor Cinema Shooting Range - Grapevine Texas
Aimpoint Inc has opened a new indoor cinema shooting range located in Grapevine Texas (Sportsman Shooting Center). The range facility is 9500 sq ft and is the first of it's kind in the US.
The facility's primary focus is teaching the shooter/hunter the theory for shooting running game.
The range has three different areas of instruction.
1. 100 yard underground sight in tunnel.
2. Interactive laser shooting simulator.
3. Cinema range.
The 100 yard underground sight in tunnel allows the shooter to sight his or her rifle in without having to worry about chasing a paper target or having a spotting scope. The system that is used is the same shooting system as the US Olympics uses. All of the shots taken will register and be displayed on a computer monitor that is sitting on the shooting bench.
The interactive laser simulator is able to display the shooters barrel trace, prior to and after his/her shot, the barrel speed and the target speed. This is where the shooter will learn the shooting theory behind running game animals.
The cinema range has a 12' x 30' screen where we will project high definition videos of game animals from all over the world. Once we start the scenario the shooter will take a shot and the scenario will pause and a red dot will appear to show the shooter his/her shot placement.
The total shooting experience last for 2 hours.
