Hi!
Im new to hunting but not new to the area. Im looking for a hunting/fishing buddie as well. No one I know is into it. I have a top of the line bow and Ive been practicing. Im not into running dogs Im more into hiking deep into the woods and hunting in a more natural way thats worked for thousands of years. Getting into hunting is very difficult if you didnt grow up doing it or know people who do. Anyways Im just reaching out to see if you found people or a group or even a place to hunt. Have a great day!!

This is an old thread revived. Sunday hunting IS ALLOWED on private property in Virginia now with the landowners written permission. It is not allowed on public land and no dog use is allowed. There are still several states that do not allow hunting on Sunday, whether it is crazy or not that is their law. Been like that for decades.

Hi all, im an experienced bow/rifle hunter that recently relocated from MO, to RVA. New to the forum and new to the area!
Im looking for some private land leads or just some hunting buddies in general. Can't seem to find anyone who's hunting season isn't just going out with a gun on thanksgiving weekend around here.
Anyways. I've been down to the Powhatan WMA with some success, but that seems like the only public option relatively close to RVA. Any advice or tips would be much appreciated. Im in it more for the meat than anything so hunting does is A OK for me.

I am also kind of new to the Richmond area but have friends in Chesterfield area that have private land that myself and potentially a few friends can acquire written permission for 2021 hunting season , at the moment I am without transportation and would really appreciate a friend that I could go with on hunts if interested email or call at 804-999-1902 or [email protected] thanks for your time

Hi. I'm also in the RVA area, and looking to hunt beyond Thanksgiving. I'm new to big game hunting though. I will be using a Remington 783 rifle. I've been out to Powhatan scouting, and a few other WMAs in the area. I'm looking to get started hunting Nov 13. I wouldn't mind picking up a hunting buddy. I am pretty confident in the woods, as I've been doing lots of research, and have experience as a boy scout, plus small game hunting. Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks,
S Man
