Default Birdie county hunters NC

I am going on a deer hunt Oct. 26 to Nov. 3 and this will be my first time hunting down south and I want to know if I should bring any mosquito repellant, Are there any concerns about snakes at that time of the yr.

I assume your talking about Bertie Co. That county has a lot of swamps in it and there are a of bugs with warm weather and plenty of snakes. But all depends on the weather. Bring along a ThermaCell they work great. As for the snakes, I usually don't wear snake boots because most are too stiff. But I do keep a sharp eye out, have killed 2 with in he last mth planting food plots in county just north of there. Good luck on your hunt.

The guy that invited me also said they hunt on some peanut farms and on Weds. & Sats. hunters run their dogs for deer.
