Default Attention VA Gun Owners

Posting a link to the bills being introduced in this years General Assembly that relate to firearms. It's not really a surprise, but some of the democrats are trying to restrict our 2nd Amendment rights once again.

Of special note is Delegate Morrisey(D) of the Richmond area. He wants to ban the sell/transfer of AR style rifles, standard capacity magazines, and he wants a 5 cent tax on plastic grocery bags.

Here he is in action! These are the kind of politicians we as gun owners need to be aware (beware) of in our state.

I had a guy the other day try to tell me that hunters and people who live in rural areas (or people who live in the country) really don't care about the 2nd Amendment. As long as politicians don't go after their shotguns or rifles for hunting or home defense, rural Virginia doesn't really care what they do. Obviously, I told him he was drastically mistaken if he thought rural Virginia was just going to take an infringement upon the 2nd Amendment in any respect, laying down.

Heck, I know a few who think the War of Northern Aggression is still going on!

IMO some people don't realize how serious of a threat we are facing. At the state and local level Virginia is still a pretty conservative state. However, with Obama and Kaine winning this past year, it's pretty obvious the liberals in our state can influence an election. My feeling is this will eventually filter down to the state level and local elections.
