Default RE: crossbow

I have a Barrnet quad 300. xbow!![8D]
it is not really all that light,(most xbows are not real light, some lighter than others.)
Noise, most are a lot noiser than a compound, mine is somewhat noise, but the deer never hear it till it' s to late.I have taken 6 bucks with mine and none even moved till the arrow hit.
I shoot alum,arrows,NAPA spitfire mechinals.complete pass through,great Blood trail.[X(][X(]

Distance,I prefer not to shoot over 30 yards.I have heard people talk about 60 yards and over.from my experence it' s hard for me to believe you can take a deer that far.(I' m not saying it' s impossible).I just would never try it.I want to be sure of my shots.

some people think they are like a rifle,I' m here to tell you they are not like that.at some times it is harder than a compound.they are combersome.

" I love my Barrnett Quad"

it would be best to go to the local bow shop or to a Bass-Pro and look and handle different ones befor you deside.if you can shoot some and listen to them.
good luck, and good hunting.buy you one and pratice,pratice,pratice.[:-][8D]
