Thanks. I shot that deer at 5pm. I have some cam shots of another buck around 6pm. I walked 2 miles to the spot that I set up for hogs. I didn't get there until 4 or 4:30. I heard a crack and looked behind me. I shot him through the smallest opening in the oak tree I was in. I hit him with my Marlin 30/30. He didn't move an inch or bleed a drop. The shot exploded his heart.

I used mine today as well...{ -; I use it when hunting in the bayheads..I got a pass through with an arrow this year but could not find the deer. Water don't leave a blood trail.} -;

By the way..I was wrong on hearing the shot..the deer I saw taken and heard was a morning deer..

my biggest joy is that my placeS are so hard to get to..I haven't seen any signs of man yet..and I hope it stays that way..{ -;

I do plan to do some hunting with Greenswamp man though at Three Lakes...After Friday I'm off for the remainder of Dec. I plan to live in my stand during that time LOL
I do hope you all get venison as well..After finding alot of trichanosos in my last hog a few month ago my wife won't let me bring any more home..I've seen hogs and found a slew of them but I let them walk..I'm strictly a hunting for deer .

Keep safe my friends and take some time to reflect on the real reason for Christmas.
God's love and mercy toward us..
